#Apache directory studio add attribute to schema password
However, when I attempt to log in with a bad password several times, I expect to be locked out, but I am not. Reading the documentation, I am led to believe that this default policy is effective for all users that have a userPassword attribute. I am using the default entry at: DN: ads-pwdId=default,ou=passwordPolicies,Īds-interceptorId=authenticationInterceptor,ou=interceptors,Īnd the ads-pwdattribute is set to "userPassword"įor simplicity, I set the ads-pwdMaxFailure to 2, and the ads-pwdlockout is set to TRUE I am now trying to enforce some password policies, but can't seem to get it to work. The front end is Alfresco, and I can authenticate users just fine. This is my very first LDAP server (ApacheDS) I am working with. Please let me know of some better solutions But i think that would not be the ideal solution. I can make this happen by fetching the db and then checking the course_name one-by-one. If i make the course_name field unique in schema itself i can't add course_name which has been added in some other school already. eg:- school A has btech so school A can't have other course document with same name but school B can have course with the name btech.

But two different schools can have courses with same name. One school can have multiple courses but the name of courses should be unique for that particular school. But if i mark the fields unique in schema itself it will cause problems. What i wanted to do is to have some fields inside COURSE schema unique like course name inside particular school. So i have SCHOOL Schema and inside which i have referenced COURSE Schema. sometime 18 seconds, sometime more thena minuteĭeveloping ERP system for schools. I am getting exception message ExceptionCode: 81,Message: The LDAP server is unavailable at random time interval. I have tried connection timeout but looks like no effect of it. connection.Timeout = new TimeSpan(0,0,5) Ĭ = 3 connection = new LdapConnection(new LdapDirectoryIdentifier(obj.LDAPAddress, obj.LDAPAddressPort)) connection = new LdapConnection(new LdapDirectoryIdentifier(obj.LDAPAddress, obj.LDAPAddressPort)) Ĭonnection = new LdapConnection(obj.LDAPAddress)

My code is something like following var credentials = new NetworkCredential(obj.AdminBindUserName, obj.AdminBindPassword) LdapConnection timeout and bind timeout seems to be different thing. one solution is LdapConnection Bind Timeout but it is not working in. I am unable to found anything for LdapConnection Bind timeout in.
